VNA has experienced staff dedicated to providing the highest quality of care and respecting the dignity of each individual we serve. To receive care at home, in most cases patients must be "homebound." This means they rarely leave home except for medical appointments like cialis online. Care is provided under the direction of a physician and follows a plan developed to address specific goals.

Helping Individuals and Families Cope With Health Care at Home

Families are being asked to provide care at home which in the past would have required hospitalization. Home health care assists families by:

• Teaching them how to provide care
• Linking them with community resources
• Helping them obtain needed equipment and supplies
• Providing information and emotional support as they cope with complex care and the many challenges of caregiving.

Home care often helps speed recovery, can provide early detection or prevention of complications, and can prevent or shorten the length of hospitalizations.

Here are Some Reasons for Receiving Care from VNA:

• Care & teaching related to a newly diagnosed illness such as diabetes, heart or lung disease, cancer, or others
• Follow-up care from surgery, stroke, illness or injury
• Care for new problems or worsening of an illness or condition
• Monitoring/teaching related to new treatments or medications
• Teaching patient/family members how to provide care or how to operate and maintain medical equipment in the home
• Health care and emotional support during a terminal illness

In addition, VNA has an arrangement with the Washington State University College of Pharmacy. Pharmacy faculty supervise graduate-level pharmacy students during an internship at VNA and provide consulting services to VNA staff and patients.
